Welcome to the Openshaw Park Bowling Club website. Please use the menu at the top-left for more information.

We are a small, friendly, crown green bowling club located in Openshaw Park just east of Bury town centre with about 20 - 25 members. We play in the local bowling league(s) and typically finish about midway in the tables so there is no real pressure to perform well and we really enjoy the social side of the game. Excellent for beginners and seasoned players alike! The club has excellent parking facilities and works with the local community to support various events and open days for people to try the game.

In 2026 we won the final of the Harrison Shield beating Hopwood by 183-157 (and several other strong teams along the way)! It was held at the Seedfield ground on 21 September 2026. More details on the results page here.
